Thomas M. Kropp, M.D.

kropp-(1)alohaDr. Kropp specializes in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has over thirty years experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and mid face. He has extensive experience in reconstruction of the eyelids following removal of skin cancer. He has lectured on forehead lift and taught courses on eyelid and tear duct surgery at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has been invited to speak on cosmetic eyelid surgery at the annual meeting of the Facial Plastic Surgery Society and the Florida Society of Ophthalmology.

Prior to moving to Maui, Dr. Kropp practiced in central Florida for twenty-nine years where he was listed as a “top doctor” numerous times by the Orlando Magazine. Dr. Kropp received his medical degree from the University of Florida. He did his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. He then went on to complete his three year residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he served as chief resident his third year. He then completed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Dr. Kropp is board certified in ophthalmology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Kropp lives in south Kihei with his wife Kim, where they enjoy kitesurfing, open water swimming, surfing and golf.
